    Default crappie crankbaits

Fairly new to the site, lots of good people and information.

Did a search on crankbaits and really couldn't come up with what I'm after.

What are your favorite cranks and colors to go along with them. Never tried them that much for crappie but it seems that they catch more quality fish. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Welcome!
I don't commonly use crankbaits but I've caught some of my nicest ones on 3" fat raps. I think a lot of guys use Bandit crankbaits and troll for them, in the 100, 200, and 300 sizes, depending on how deep they are.
Colors can be hit or miss. If I were going to go buy a bunch, I'd get some whites, black back and white body, dark green back white body, and some bright colors if they're available.

I've used the bandit series lure with some success. They come in 100, 200, and 300 series depending on how deep of water that you are fishing. The colors that I've had success with are the "mistake lure", (it has two different colors on it), chartreuse, and orange. :D

No problem, glad to be of some help. I'm no expert on the subject so maybe someone else will be able to help with more experience.

    Oso,

How deep do you run the 300s, what line size & how much line is out?

    Default Bitsey Minnow

I think thats the name. We have had good luck casting these on ultralites. Its in the shape of a traditional crankbait but significantly smaller. I have found them at Wally World. White was our best, I have only seen them in a couple of colors.
