How many did you end up with for the day? If that is a picture of a "good" day what is considered a great day?

wonder what makes those gill flaps so dark? Those black spots really draw your attention, never noticed that in other pics.

I really don't like to clean fish, and I'm sure it's because I try to hard to get it just right. I'm a gunsmith and work in 1000's of an inch all day long, that does not apply in cleaning a mess of crappie very well. How long did it take to clean them olelucky. Darkness in the fish has probably to do with the spawn.

Ended up with 60 all together. Caught 10 or 15 throwbacks.
Took about 45 to 60 minutes to fillet them.

I'm from Minnesota and have cleaned more crappie than I like. Live in Oregon now and have a pond the wife and I have fished for the last 3 years that the ave. fish is 12 inches. The rib bones are harder to get through on the 14 to 16 inch fish than a 30 pound salmon. Do the rib bones on a crappie, a bigger one, seem to get harder to cut than a 10 incher. I had never cleaned many over 10 till I started fishing that pond.
