Exclamation Help Me Get The Skunk Smell Outta My Boat

I've been fishing every halfway decent (and some not so decent) day for the last 3 weeks. I went yesterday and got SKUNKED! I tried everything I knew to try and I just can't find the fish.

I have provided the info for Northern Ky. lake for the last 10 days. Water color right now is lightly stained with visability being about 2 1/2 feet.

Where would you look & what would you use?

Wiskers...I'm in the same boat. I went yesterday and din't even get a bite. I don't get SKUNKED. Had to be something going on other than our fishing ability!
    LOL! Wind was bad too.

I know this isn't an answer but maybe a little comfort in knowing you weren't alone.

Talked to some other people and they said they didn't do well either.

If you've been catching them, I'd say they were there just not biting. We've had alot of weather fronts moving in and out in the past week and sounds as if your water color is changing. They could be moving but if they did I'm sure it wasn't far. You know you're water better than us even when given statistical data. If your crappie are like ours, they are full of eggs ready for spawn. You water temperature looks stable, but they will look for the first chance to move in. They may not stay there. I think of it like an expectant father pacing the floor. There is one spot we are doing real well on, an inside bend of the channel. One day they are on top 18-21' in 24-26' of water. The next day they will be bunched up 50 yds. away in the bottom of the channel at 24-26' in 28-32' of water. Then a front will pass through. We'll see them on the sonar but won't land but a few little ones. The next day or two, it's back on landing 2-pounders.

I'm glad you said that JB. I saw a couple shad on top of the water at the lake where I fished this weekend. I bet they had a shad kill there last week as well.
