I know there has been alot of conversation on creek fishing in the some parts of the state, in West Texas we finally have some water for a change. With the higher water levels being experienced on some of the West Texas Lakes this year, here are some lakes to search out for a good creek channel to fish from the bank or some that are out of the creek banks, but with good defined creek channels (boat needed to get to it). Look in the headwaters of your favorite West Texas lakes as I have been having great luck in the last 30 days in West Texas Lake creeks. It does take some adventuring to find them, but they have crappie and they will bite and anyone out here knows you need wind protection to the max.

Think about:
Lake Ft. Phantom Hill-Flooded creek out of Seebee park area and ??
Lake Hubbard Creek (Obvious on this lake with Hubbard Creek, Big Sandy and ??. You may need to get some land owner approval to fish certain areas not close to Peeler pt.)
Lake Stamford-Yep, definetly in the creek on this lake if you can get access.
Lake Millers Creek-Look in the headwaters area
Lake Brownwood-Look at Pecan Bayou and get up there as far as possible
Lake Ivie-Go as far as you can up the Concho and Colorado River.
Lake Hords Creek=Small lake west of Coleman

Don't be suprized by some big, big bass on occasion.

There are others, if you have a chance think about checking out the full lakes in the area, never know when we will have this opportunity again.

Good Luck and Good Fishing,
