    Default Normandy 9-28

Jesse, the dogs & I went out this morning for some of those Crappie Fishawk keeps bragging about. We didn't limit out, but we caught 4 fine slabs, a bass that we quickly threw back (no one saw us, thank goodness), and a nice catfish on ultralight gear. (click the pix to see full size)

Fishawk, we looked for you. It seems like everybody had a red/gray boat out there today!! You wouldn't consider repainting it orange & green would you?

    Smile normandy

Way to go TE. I try to say away from the lake on weekends. I know what you mean about those green fish, I don't like to bring the slimmy things into the boat either!! Did you use the Barton Springs ramp?

Way to go TN EX...you and Jesse need to break the small boats out and hit the lake with me...I'll be there @ the crack of dawn in the a.m. hoping to beat the wind. - Pete

Fishawk - Roger, we used Barton Springs. We like Fire Lake, but the water's too low right now. I don't much care for weekends either, but I gotta pay for gas somehow . . .

Baditude - I would dearly love to get out there in the morning, but unfortunately, I have church duties tomorrow & can't skip. We are itching to get back out in the 'Yaks though. Keep us in mind & we'll try to catch up with you.

Jesse is off all next week on fall break. He works in the afternoons, but if you go during the week I'm sure he'd be tickled to have someone to fish with.

Water at the ramp is about 2 feet deep. Some of the larger boats have trouble but my 17 footer launched fine. Here's a pic of the ramp on Sunday.
