i havent sounds a little scary though lol
I bought some fish fry at Bass Pro Shop, the package said to soak fillets in white vinegar before breading. I tried it and it was great ! oil @ 365-375. Soaked fillets in fridge for about 5 min. before breading and cooking. Wondering if anyone has tried it.

never heard of that one before---i always soak mine in buttermilk--and use house autry breading--man i gotta lay out some fish---gettin me hungry
Get the net!
Haven't tried the vinegar, but usually coat mine with regular mustard in a large ziplock for about 30 min. before I coat and fry them. No complaints from anyone yet...

Don't lay out them fish, Knappy! I don't have time to cook them for you now. THE COOK is busy!
lol tried salad dressing?
I always put in a little white vinegar along with salt in the water to soak the crappie in while I refrigerate them for a while. I especially like using the vinegar when I am soaking catfish fillets as it seems to improve the taste.
