I gave all three of my dogs a flea dip the other morning, following the directions carefully and even diluting the mixture, the bottle called for 30 gallons of water to 16 oz of the dip, I used 20 gallons of water and 8 oz of the dip, It did work on the fleas and had no adverse affects on my other two dogs but goober went into convulsions about 30 min.s after and then went into seizures.I read the bottle and it said to rinse them in cool water which i did. After i wrapped him in a towel and he seized so hard he broke a toenail, we rushed him to the vet who pumped him full of all kinds of drugs and kept him overnight. He is back home and still a lil "drunk" from the drugs but the doc says he will live to fish another day.:D

Glad to hear your little buddy is going to be alright. Bet he had you worried.
Aww poor Goober. I'm glad he is ok. He deserves a nice fishing trip and some treats
"Be Ye Fishers of Men" You catch them- He will clean them
Our little Chi - don't know how to spell it - anyway, little dog -
took him to the vet one time for something minor, they took it on
themselves to dip him, and it about killed him.
I'd be wary of using that stuff on older big dogs too,
dipped a old Doberman once years ago and he went into kidney
failure. Maybe coincidence, maybe just his time to go, but I'm
still wary of the stuff.

Glad you got our little fishing buddy back on his feet. He is a hoot in the boat for sure. Have you taught him how to put the fish in the live well yet?

When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
Those are some good dogs. I've had two of them. Glad to hear he's ok!
Scary, so many pets die of cancer these days I think its because of the flea treatments and other chemicals they use on animals. They don't have the same restrictions for animal treatment as they do for humans. Personally, I'd find other ways to control fleas that most modern treatments. Anyone have safe natural ways to treat animals for fleas?
Good things come to those who bait.
I had my little winnie dog at the Vet day before yesterday and started to have her dipped, but didn't,man I so glad I didn't.
I didn't know the dip would do that, I'll never use that stuff after reading these post, thanks for those post.
