    Default Almost a 16-Inch Crappie

    Almost a 16-Inch Crappie

Well, we had a good day of fishing once the wind started to come out of the south.

Here are some pictures of some of the fish we caught. We had a total of 46 that we kept. The picture below does not show all the fish. I had already filleted 18 before we decided to take pictures. Plus I had to get a picture of the almost 16-incher I caught. It fought like a beast even running my drag out 12 to 15 feet before turning. It was a great fighting fish.

Here you will see the big slab next to an 11-inch fish. It makes the 11-inch crappie look like a baby…lol

We had a couple over 15-inches.

The last picture is my wife’s dish as we eat some of them over rice.

I really wish you could see how black some of the fish were. But the camera flash makes them all look white.

Which part of Ohio you in. I'm down here in Cincy trying
to figure out if your lake is on the same schedule as Acton
    Lake here in SW Ohio.

That is one impressive mess of Crappie.

Good job and thanks for the idea of another way to eat the crappie!

    Good looking mess of fish!

Some times I wish we could keep them at 9", but our minimum keeper is 10".
