    Default Biggest Crappie

I wish I knew tight line. When I was younger we were more into numbers than size. I guess it was bragging rights. Now I am into just going. It don't matter about the numbers anymore. But I have been paying more attention to the size. Nothing close to the one you mention. I will keep trying though.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

I'm like Deacon. I believe my best was just over two pounds, although that is a guestimate, as we never weighed them. My personal goal for a wall hanger is over three pounds.---Pooch

I just had this one mounted not too long ago, I caught it in November right after Thanksgiving.....it was 2 lbs. 11 oz....and the only reason I got it mounted was because it won me $ 500 for the big fish during the month of November, but I probably have caught more than 25 that are over 2 lbs....my next biggest was 2 weekends ago, it was 2 lbs. and 7 oz....and photos of the actual fish are all posted on the Georgia Crappie forum.....

    Default I never weigh

my fish but I am thinking about getting a scale because I usually catch some big fat ones during the spawn. I have caught some whoppers since I moved to the lake. the biggest one measured just shy of 17". I have a ruler on my fillet board. You have to cook the really big ones a little longer.

The largest I ever weighed was 2 lb. 13 oz. I caught it last spring at Poverty Point while bream fishing with my wife and five year old daughter. Caught it in four feet of water on a cricket and bream hook. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, I guess.
