    Default Pickwick Lake Report

Spider rig man's latest fishing report
    May 3 2007
The crappie has slowed down to a crawl, it's over and it's post spawn for them now and back to the deep water ledge fishing.
Catfishing is in full swing spawning on the lake rockwalls, you can do good fishing right up against the rockwalls with a bobber and small weight and hook
using night crawlers about 2 1/2 to 3 ft deep [ play with depth a little ].
They picking up a few rockfish at the dam now.
Some of the bass still have some eggs in them on the lake.
Haven't heard anything on the bream.

WARNING: Pickwick Lake is having power boat racing this weekend at the state park and that ramp will be closed all weekend.
The Bruton Branch ramp will be open, also State Line ramp will be open.

I will be giving fishing reports on Pickwick Lake, Tn every week as close to the weekend as possible for all the weekend fisherman.
I am not a professional fisherman or sports writer and I am doing this as a kind
jester to my fellow fisherman, so if anyone get's upset over a report that didn't work for them please be kind, it's free.
I will give true reports to the best of my ability and not a bunch of bull****.
    Good Luck

    Default Lake report

Thanks guy's, I'm retired and live at the lake, so why not try and help the boy's and girl's that are still working and can't fish til the weekend.
I remember how if was when I was working, and all the efforts made to fish
not knowing what's been going on at your favorite lake.
I'm hoping that these reports will make it a little less stressfull not knowing what's been going on at the lake.
If ya'll know of any reports on other lakes here in Tn, please post that info and help your fellow fisherman.
    Good Fishing...................spider rig man

Gary you know it would be a great day to fish around the dam.. LOL
Use one of the race boats to troll with.LOL
    Thanks for the reports.
I may have to give up fishing. Between my body not liking the fishing. And the $52 to fill up the truck this am. My heart can't stand it. Think I will just sell out. And take up on line fishing.

Pete, Hey man I know exactly what your talking about, I use to run to Reelfoot and Grenada and didn't think to much about it, but not know with the price of fuel and my Dodge truck getting 13 3/4 mpg.
I'm having to stay right here at Pickwick, but that's not a bad thing Pickwick
    is a great lake.
When are we going catfishing Pete?, I'm going this afternoon for a while on the rock walls.

The way my body is. And with I hate to say it. Some light work.. For a few weeks way to much to do and not near enough time to do it.
    Let me see
    Tomorrow doctors visit.
    Tuesday 2 yards to mow.
Wed one more yard to mow.
Thursday meeting Drover at Pickwick and fish for a little while.
Then Friday evening cooking fish for around 75,,,,,,,,,,,
Saturday Rest up for mothers day.
    Then cook that Sunday..
