    Default Crappie Eggs Color

Just wanted to know if anyone has seen or know why the eggs are turning pink. The fish that I cleaned yesterday we all females except 2 and over half of the females eggs were pink. I also noticed that it give a pink tent to the meat. All fish were alive when I finished for the day and the water in the live well was cool. If anyone can explain please post.

    Thanks,

I caught some the same way on Ky Lake S yesterday and sat. .... Some say they are absorbing them, for some reasons, which is possibly true but i have a friend who catches thousands of crappie a year and he says that they are ready to spawn. i'd prob. believe him but who knows seen several with pink meat too.
    FISH-ON!!!!!
