We Jug Fish At Reelfoot And Have A Ball. Never Fished With A Rod And Reel For Catfish, But I Have Seen Several People Catfishing In The Ditches When
The Water Is High. We Jug Around Cypress Point
About Fifty Yards From The Bank.

Try swan basin, rat island stump area, champys pocket, back of moultrie fields near the pads.

I catfish there some i the summer. I always fish with sonnys stink bait. you can find it at most bait shops around the lake. Its in a jar like peanut butter.

I usually fish with a floatwith some slack to let the fish pick up the bait and you can see it moving before the line tightens and it gives you a chance to set the hook. You can buy thsoe vynil worms to use for the bait, or pantyhose works good too.

After a good rain they get up in the ditches and around the mouths. We always have good luck catfishing. They dont get real big but the average ones are like 2 and 3lbs. Good fish.

    Default YoYo's

YoYo's are the best thing to catch catfish on. Tie the line to a limber cypress limb and bait it with shrimp, nightcrawlers, or cut bait. You will get a few trash fish but it is fun. I plan on setting out about 12 of them next week in the ditches. Best place to catch'm set them out in the evening and run them in the morning.

We usually fish 12 to 24 but thats all you'll want if they are biting.
I have good luck with nightcrawlers and minnow, just under the surface.

I have reflective tape on all my yo yo's and we back off about 50 yards cut the engine and wait and shine the spot light to see if anything is on.

We usually stay from dark till about 1:00 seems like they slow up after midnight.

Most of the time you will catch one before you can get 12 set.

Now you guys are giving me the Catfishing fever.
