Many have tried but none came back alive.
Seriously, there are so many mocs there I wouldn't have the guts to try out there at night. Good luck though. I guess it might depend on where you are too. Walnut Log no way I would be there at night. Ever. Not even inside the truck.

Yea I know what you mean. I fish the lake alot, and have had many run ins with the cotton mouth. We jug fish at night, run trotlines, and yo-yo. You just have to be aware of your surroundings and check those trees.

As for crappie fishing. I am thinking more of fishing the deeper water over stumps etc. No way I am getting in any kind of heavy timber. I just need to know of anyone has done it with success. there are fish to be caught at night, and man I love to catch fish.

I could see anchoring off of green island point and setting out lights, and letting them attract minnows and then hopefully being able to catch some fish around the lights. I've never done it but I think that would be the place to do it, definitely out from the bank 150 yards or so.

Me and some buddies are planning a night fishing trip next month. We decided to stay clear of the banks and trees, we are going to try some 8' foot of water a few hundreds yards away from the bank. When I have been yo yo ing I have shined the spot light down in the water and less than a min there were minnows showing up.

We are going to anchor one boat and put several lights on it and then park other boats around it and fish so we can leave and go check some yo yo's

I let you know when or how it go's....I will have my snake club with me though

Wouldn't the lights attract the cotton mouths?
