I wouldnt wade that lake with a shark suit on. Unless it was in the dead of winter. ALl kidding aside, the snakes there will climb in the boat with you. I have seen it happen. Cant imaging wading that lake for many reasons, mainly the reptiles

Most of the lake is not a hard bottom lake, so walking in it would be tough.
    and SNAKES

    Oh yea....SNAKES.

Well the snakes don't bother me at all. However I did talk to a guy today who said the lake bottom is too soft. I rarely wade in three foot of water, maybe 4 foot sometimes, but I like a firm bottom.

Though I did think it would have a hard bottom in the lilly pads. Then I just piss off the bream fishermen cause of tearing up bream beds.

I got the bright idea last year to use a
push pole up in the lilly pads. we just can't catch
fish there, although I know a lot of guys do.
The pole buried itself in the bottom even though I had
a large piece of plastic on the end. I don't think you can
wade that lake. just a thought

You can wade there if you are 27'6" tall and wear a size 41 shoe. That should be enough to be about chest deep in mud and it should keep your head above water. You'll need the big feet though to slow your sink rate. Then of course you'll need a 125T Manitowoc Crane to pull you out. :D :D

Agreed. The mud on the bottom will swallow you. Before I got my depth finder I kept a long cane pole in the boat for depth and I could easily push it a couple feet into the bottom with one hand. I would tell my son we were 8 feet deep, 6 of water and 2 of mud. And yeah, then there's the snakes...and snapping turtles...and God knows what kind of trash is on the bottom.

    Talking Seen it done!!!

I grew up on the foot as a kid and believe it or not I actually seen two gentlemen wading before. They were in the cove just past the Samburg State campground toward Cypress. After nearly laughing myself out of the boat, I got to watching them. Never seen them catch a thing but sure thought they moved faster when they seen a snake. Of course what they did not understand is the fish house sewer pipe ran right in that cove. I am sure there were plenty of snakes in there. I tell you some of the funniest sights I ever seen was watching people on the lake. Better than some of the TV shows they ever put on...

If you can stand the snakes, I bet you could use one of
those float tubes and do as well as wading. Just a thought.
