    Default StingRay Hydrofoil Stabilizers

Are these worth the cost in fuel savings?
    I have a 17' deep V with a 90 4 stroke on it, would it help?
thanks for your replies in advance.

I have a 16' Procraft bass (crappie) boat and changed out the two 6 gal fuel cells for an 18 gallon cell and went with a four battery setup (lights, trolling, etc) after doing so the boat had a hard time getting on plane with a 60hp merc. The sting ray made a world of difference!!! The nose never even rises now it just gets up and is gone. Went from 36mph to 44mph just by bolting it on. Adjusting the trim also adjusts the height of the bow, rough water is much easier to handle.

There are a lot of nay sayers on here concerning hydrofoils, but for my situation it is outstanding!!! If your boat planes out quickly and maneuvers well, it probably won't change things much, but if there is any doubt I would definately recommend one.

Like MOPAR MATTT said, if your boat wont plane out , it's well worth the price!

If you boat wont plane out you burn more gas, so it makes sense to get it up on plane as fast as possible(safely)

They work. Have used the Stingray and the SE Sport 300. Boat will plane at lower speed, stay on plane at lower speed and won't porpoise as easily.
You won't need as much trim. You'll have to experiment a bit.

I prefer the SE Sport to the Stingray. Triangular shape doesn't catch on stumps. (Hooked a Stingray on a stump... broke the Stingray and bent the cavitation plate.)

My last three boats had them or I put them on if they didn't. Yeah, I think they work. I have never had a problem with getting on plane before the foils but it did help stay on plane at a lower speed.

Well worth the money, if you are running heavy weight, or an underpowered craft. I installed one on my 14' jon running a 5hp briggs and stratton. Plained the boat in seconds, and increased top speed from 13 to 15mph. I'm considering one for my pontoon.

I had the sport model (triangular one Piece design)

Didn't like the sting ray (2 piece) something else to break.

They work, I don't know if they help on top speed but they will help you stay on plane at a lower rpm and that helps on fuel economy.

    I wouldn't be without mine.

I'd be all over Drowout's offer.
