I went up through the ditch to the lilly pads this morning. I caught about 15 fairly descent fish. I caught them on blue sparkle/white squirming squirts and black/red sparkle/chartreuse. squirt. I lost about 20 fish today

Mr. weather man was bad wrong on the wind

I fished within eyesight of Rat Island Friday afternoon and smoked them
all the way till dark. Exciting day made more thrilling when I hogged in a
6 pound cat and then beat off a 3' snake trying to get in the boat with me.

I fished for a short time today, Man that was some bad super wicked wind out there. I wish I could have got on Moultri Field. But all the fish I caught were black as coal.

But if the weather man is correct for tomorrow I'll be out there - (calling 2-3 mph).

Won't be at that stump but I'll probaly be a 100 yrds away from that little tow head or chicken spur between Green Island and Rat Island. If the freaking wind will ever let up.

Greetings...I am headed down to Reelfoot this week (Thurs-Sun) and want to know what your thoughts are for catching fish with the cold front coming?

I wouldn't think that it will hurt to bad, The surface water temp in 4 ft of water was 71 yesterday. and I think it would take a lot of cold to slow'm up.
You just might have to fish a little deeper.

I wouldn't worry about cold, the wind is the killer on Reelfoot.

    Hey Gatorbait,
your trunk monkey found your empty twinkie box and the empty minnow bucket, over here at kirby's pocket while perfecting the swoop and scoop catching these fine 1.5 to 2# big blackies over here in the pads using pink and banana colored roadrunners i brought at my bass pro shop here in cincy.
THERE IT GOES ANOTHER ONE...gotta go
