Reelfoot over the weekend

Hey Gang,

We tore 'em up in Moltrie Field this weekend. The fish were in the 5-7 foot range and scatterd. All you had to do was just troll around using your spider-rig and you could fill the cooler in no time.

Have any of you guys fished in the Buzzard Slough-Tri Bar area or around the trees in Eagle Nest over the weekend? Also heard some good reports off the north end over the weekend.

Was it the famed swoop and scoop action of spider rigging??? did you just use minnow or did you also tip the hook with a tube!!!

Almost all of the fish we caught were on Grizzly Rigs tipped with Rosie Reds. The feather color was chartreuse and white. Seemed like the big females liked the chart and the black males liked the white.

we caught a couple nice ones at Buzzard Slough today but nothing to brag about

Were you jigging the trees or pads or were you spider rigging? The weekend of the snow storm they were in the old pad beds and stumps on the northern end of Buzzard.

Still waiting for this area to pick up has anyone done any good there yet!!! cypress sounds like we fish a lot of the same area's after next week I should be on the lake every day til the end of the month! See ya down there Gator-Bait!

spider rigging was the way to go but I like jigging better and redman instead of that nasty old Copenhagen it makes my head spin LOL

I will go for the Copenhagen, cooler for sure, minnows and jigs! And I will be there in a couple of weeks. Haven't ever fished at rellfoot before so..... any pointerson where a virgin of your lake might start? Closest boat ramp to it? Any help would be appreciated.
