I've been fishing Watts Bar about three times a week and, like you, I don't think they've moved up in my section of the lake yet. I have been catching alot of little males so it can't be far off.
Went fishing today in a cove off the Tennessee River. Caught 4 nice crappie in about 5 feet of water but they just have not moved in enough yet. (Didn't even take the boat out - caught them from the bank) Some good warm rain would do some good I imagine. All were caught on a 1/16 oz jig head with chartruse jig. Also caught one on red head white tube jig.
Anyone else fishing in this area having any luck?????

Crappie dudes,
What kind of crappie fishing will be available around the end of April? What can I expect as far as patterns, post spawn, spawn, etc.? Keep posting so I will have a general idea as to what they are doing then.
Thanks,
Bassky
Love to hear about crappie fishing on WBL, will be living up there in 2014, just waiting for retirement.
Where ya gonna settle?
Good things come to those who bait.
