Default Live Minnow VS. Crappie.Com SlabSauce Challenge- VIDEO

It's been a while since I posted a video, but here is my latest. I decided to test out the SlabSauce vs. a live minnow setup. I used a slip bobber rig for both baits and set them to the exact same depths. I always placed the baits as close together as I could in order to make sure it was a true test to the scent of live bait or the SlabSauce. Check out the video for the results!

Live bait was the clear winner. Wasn't it's fault you missed the fish.... still I'm sure that is some good stuff, or crappie.com wouldn't have put their name on it. Remember everything artificial is simply trying to replicate the real deal so it's to be expected that the real deal will be better.

So, with the corrected math, the end result was 3 to 2, correct?

Great video, great job. Thank you so much for posting.

Haha ya...I think so. I should have done a better job of keeping count.

Wait now, I seen that Slabsauce was the winner. He missed them on the artificial too. And he caught more Crappie, and he even caught a bonus Bluegill he did not count.

Shameless plug: Slabsauce has 6 different flavors to it. All natural fish bait food flavors. A minnow only has one flavor, minnow flavor. So Slabsauce is better because all it takes is one of those flavors to trigger a bite. Six times the chance! Right....just sayin! lol

    Use Slabsauce, Save minnows! lol

That would have given a huge edge to the minnows ... since the artificial plastics cannot "swim around" on its own !! I think the challenge was about as fair as possible, considering the stationary aspect of both baits.

That's exactly why I used dead minnows. I wanted the action to be the exact same. It was more a challenge on the scent of a real minnow vs slabsauce.

Another great video Davis. I think it was a great test. Using real minnows (dead) ensures there is no unfair advantage of movement other than man made.

It almost seemed that the slabsauce had more of a draw (stronger smell) than the real thing!

Now we need to get you some new planer boards!

I'm a jig fisherman and what I want to know before buying. Is difference in the catch between scented and unscented jig?
