    Default long pole transport

I have a tracker 1754 center console boat, has the versa track system on the side of the boat. Looking for a way to store the long rods when I am on the water, besides on the floor like I do now. I use 12 ft rods. When I am not fishing I take them apart and use 2 sided Velcro and store them, but don't want to do that when I am on the water. Let me know what you guys would suggest and some pictures. Thanks

Do you have pictures of the layout of your boat, for us to see what we are dealing with.

Here is what I came up with for my Excel BayPro 203. I too have the rail system but I wanted to keep all my rod storage below the crossbars on my HiTek holders. I designed a vertical rack that can be attached to my HiTek uprights and moved all over by installing extra HiTek bases. Mark at Cornfield Crappie Gear now makes my rack design. Name: IMG_1703.jpg

I store mine in a vertical position when on the water. Look carefully at each rod holder; you will see a Driftmaster Rod rester attached to one of the 56 rod holders on the boat.

I have a Driftmaster setup for storing the unused rods and it works well. Also easily removed and put back in place when needed.
If you store them verticly, remember that when you go under the Cypress trees. lol

Or power lines .... had a buddy lose the tip on a 20' rod while backing up to launch his boat. Overhead power line that runs over the launch road to the marina was the culprit.

I got this kind from Gene (E-Z Poleholders). Works great for my needs.
