Question Casting distance with spincast reels ?

Useing a 6' med. action rod, 8# Trilene, and Zebco Omega Z03 reel; I can cast a 1/8 jig between 22-25yds. and a 1/4 jig around 30yds. Is this good, average, or bad for this set up ? The 6' med. rod is my white bass rig and not ideal for 1/8 jigs I know. My 4' 8" UL spinning rig with 4# line throws a 1/8 jig about 25yds also. Just wondering If I should expect more or if this is considered good or average for the equipment I have ? -Thanks

Sounds reasonable. Put 4# on that 6' pole and I bet you get 40 yards.....

That's a toughy. There are so many variables with equipment and casting skill. 75 feet isn't bad, but you could probably do a little better especially if you used 6# test that was really limp, and a 7 foot pole. Strangely, spincasts cast really well and far. I have never really understood why, seeing the little hole it casts through and the tiny spools. One thing I have noticed about spincasts is that they usually come with line I would consider to be too stiff, coily and cheap.
Good things come to those who bait.
