    Default Electric scaler

Does anyone use the electric drum type scalers? If so is it store bought or home made. I am wanting to make one and looking for suggestions.

Wow, no replies. I would have thought somebody here would have one or used one.

outdoorarki, there's a few folks that pull these behind their boats cleaning their fish... but most are using fillet knives.

    Thumbs down

....the only thing those fish scalers are good for is to create chum...most will take the meat off with the scales...my grandpap made one just like the pic posted on this thread....used it once, dragged behind the boat...when he pulled it in, there was nothin' but mush inside....personally, if the fish ain't big enuff to fillet, I don't keep 'em....

I have used the bucket type, drum type, waterjet and hand type for just about every kind of pan fish there is.
Finally, finally I found a good one I use for Every kind of fish.

This is the best as far as I'm concerned.
