Default Anyone care to share a secret

I am sitting here tonight dreaming about spring and was wondering if anyone had any secrets they would like to share. I have 4 or 5 things I do that are very helpful but I don't want to tell all my secrets. But, I will give one to start this.
have you ever fished a brushpile and only caught a few, when the depthfinder says the pile WAS stacked with fish, especially when it is windy?
The reason is the trolling motor noise scared them. If you drop a buoy on the edge of the pile and back off and cork it, you will not spook the others as bad. Do any of you have a 10 foot noodle rod? You can throw a jig and cork set at 12 feet if necessary.
    That's one. who's next?

Drop a buoy away from the brush pile in both directions so that the brush pile is between the buoys. Then simply fish between the buoys.
the trick to catch that finnicky speck....
gently set the hook just before the peck

If you have bridge pilings in water 14-30' deep, fish them in October and November around 10' deep. I caught my first two 2lbers this past Nov. 25 doing just this and have talked with others that did the same. I had never fished them this time of year before. Had a little luck in the summer but nothing like the fall. Caught 99 on one day.

Ok.. one for the night, then I gotta turn in.

Adding RED FOOD COLORING to the minner water will NOT give you instant ruby red minners.

When I'm catching gills or crappie and they quit biting but I know they're still down there, I take the wire basket I put the fish in and spin it back and forth several times, which knocks off a bunch of fish scales. Seems to get them biting again sometimes.
    I have a jig with a face like this!

sending a wife shopping may be an expensive fishing trip

a good woman is worth more than a fishing trip

you wife may be the best fishing partner you ever find
