    Default Gulp Crappie Jigging grubs

    http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...l&N=4887&Nty=1

I got the Master Cabelas catalog today and noticed something I haven't seen anywhere else in this years crop of new catalogs. They finally reshaped the gulp grubs to something sensible in 1.5, 2, 3, 4 inches. YES!! I predict this new bait will slaughter the crappies, and become my go to plastic bait this season. Has anyone else seen these and tried them yet???

Tried to find them on Berkleys web site. Can't find them. Even under "New for 2007" page.

The Cabela's link says "Cabela's Exclusive". I would guess that Cabela's commisioned Berkley to do these for them, and if they are successful, you will see them in other retailers in the future.

Nice catch Jeff. I missed that.

Something else I missed. $5 mail in rebate on $10 purchased.

    Default small gulp twisters

I have used the 3 and 4 inch Gulp twisters for walleyes and they work great. I tried the 2 inch twisters and the tails are too stiff to swim properly so the action was bad. They also seem to take a "set" in the package and swim poorly at any speed. I have better luck with a maribou jig and a crappie nibble.

I can only say one thing about Gulp.....Keep em in some type of bag....My 2" minnows "dried up" in my plastic box...I'm tryin to re-hydrate them with a baggie and Yum "Crawfish"......So I would suggest you don't buy more than you can use in a reasonable time....Also, I would suggest getting cheaper grubs of equal quality and a bottle of your own "sauce" to make em more attractive....Hope this helps....DemoMan
