ive been knocking em out with char/flake 1 inch lately. but it warmed up the last couple days and i havent gotten but a few dinks last 2 days. i beleive our water temps are getting up in the high 40s.
going in the morning it will be sunny early with clouds following, very cold slightly stain water, vertical jigging in 12 to 25 feet, what color jig should i start with? tiped with minnows? or minnows only, i will have a few poles out let me know what you think.

minnows only was working well also. (tight line)
I would think black/chartreuse would work well! I've been catching fish on beaver tails in that color in water with about 6" visibility.

I agree, Black/Chartreuse would be my first choice also. The shad are averaging about 3" here so don't be afraid to use a large tube or Beavertail.
Good Luck!
CATCH A BIG-UN
I too opt for darker colors in low light conditions. I like the Black and Chartruse or Black and Orange. In stained to muddy water I also like a ribbed bait Like the Yum Wully Beavertail for more vibration. Scent will also help. The more odds you can put in your favor the better off you are. Good Luck! :D
