I believe its the record for that state, but not a world record. CP knows more about that fish. One of my favorite all time crappie pictures though.
Good things come to those who bait.
Yep an oldie (2005) but a GOODIE! Grizz you are correct it's only a recognized state record. Either way to all my fellow KY boys we've been beat hands down by a girl. We need to reclaim this record. :D
LOL, 2005, I guess it is an old, but sure is on heck of a gooodie. :DOriginally Posted by ceb
Just came across it today and my jaw fell to the floor and just thought I'd share. Thanks again for the link, that is one h*ll of a fish.

LOL-- We didn't want everyone to know this, but that's just a baby crappie in Ky. The secret is out!
You can't finish what you don't start

Most of my day's have been Crappie one;s :D
It is going to have to be over 5 to be a world record. Probably a state record though.
Didn't know the world record was so small. I ate one that weighed 6 pounds last year. Guess I need to start keeping the little tater chips instead of eating 'em.

If you boys want to see the world record black crappie then you will have to drive over to missouri. Its still kicking in the tank after being caught. It went 5.02 lbs, its now at the bass pro shops in columbia, mo. I check her out when I stop and shop, she is a pig!
