    Default Arkabutla FJ Results 9/10/16

A tough day to say the least, 18 teams hit the lake in search of 7 slabs to bring to the scales. Only two teams would reach this goal and take first and second, one team brought 3 fish to the scales and one other with 2 fish finishing 3rd and 4th respectably, five other teams only brought 1 fish in but for one of them it was Big Fish of the tourney.
Tadpoles hosted our registration and our weigh-in and as always made for an excellent host. Thanks to Robby and his wife for having us.

Wow that's a tough lake for sure. To me it's always has been. I used to commercial fish it when I was a young man, and it was tough on the crappie fisherman back then also. I also noticed the new crappie ''American Crappie Trail'' don't have it on their schedule.....wonder why.....

Wow that is a tough lake to fish for sure. Now I don't feel so bad about my results in the past on this lake. I do wonder though, why do you guys schedule tournaments on this lake? Its can't be fun for 18 boats to fish it and 14 leave with 0 fish. Will be a long time before I go back there for sure.

Because inch for inch it's the best lake in the country, when its good there is no better. Also, these are fishing tournaments not catching tournaments, to me its fun to fish a challenging lake, not everyday mind you but in a tourney situation I really like it. We had our Championship there in June last year and it took over 15 pounds to win it and we had big fish at almost 2.75, really good for a June tourney.

I knew it was gonna be tough. We still would've been there if I didn't have to work Friday night. Congrats to all that fished. That was a great turnout
