Default Cranks on Big Sandy 5-28-16

We hit the water about 6:30 on Saturday and fished till about 11:30. By that time, the party boats and jet skis had awakened and hit the water, so it was time for us to go.
We're still on a learning curve with pulling cranks but having a great time while we're at it. We were in 14 - 18 fow pulling 12 -13 ft deep. The bite was slow, but the fish we caught were good ones. We only ended up with three - one was over 2 lbs and the other two were knocking on 2 lbs. They were all females and had fat bellies, but not from eggs, they were definitely spawned out. The water was about 73 degrees. We were running Arkie 350's and Paul's hand painted cranks and didn't lose any - yay!
Paul and I are always engaged in "friendly"competition, so I'm happy to report I caught the 2 lber.

Way to go guys. The learning curve will come to you. It will get in your blood.

Vonna, I had a husband and wife from St.Louis out today. The wife is in her late 60s and admitted she had never caught a fish in her life, even on charter trips. She ended up catching several nice crappie, some catfish and one keeper bass, all on cranks. To say she was excited would be a huge understatement. I got a great tip also. We ended up with 12 good keeper crappie, most on custom c55s. Tell Paul to get that airbrush cranked up.

Doug, you must've read his mind, cause he's painting now! He just ordered 100 more blanks, too.
