Default Message from the O'Brien family at Bay Springs

A few days ago, a very good friend of mine and owner of the Bay Springs Motel, Bill O'Brien was killed in a car accident. I know a lot of crappie anglers that have went to Weiss Lake have stayed with Bill. He would always do anything it took to make sure you had a good stay. Bill was a big part in starting the Weiss Lake Improvement Committee and truly cared about the lake and his fellow crappie fishermen. I have a note from his family that I wanted to pass along.

    Dear friends of Billie O'brien,

On January 30, 2006 my father and the husband of Linda O'brien and co-owner of The Bay Springs motel of Centre Alabama, was killed in a car accident. To all you crappie fans around all states, your prayers would be greatly appreciated. We are with deep saddened hearts to have to share this news. My father was a great man in the Crappie world, a great father, adored grandpa and a worshipped husband. Please remember as you reel in that next "BIG FISH" and know that my father has enjoyed your world as much as you have.

Thank you and God Bless all who have been able to touch his life,
Kathy Charles and Linda O'brien and Grandchildren Michaela and Daniel
    Daughter and Beloved Wife

    Please pray for Bill's family.

    Russ

I never had the pleasure of meeting Bill but by the way he has been spoken of he seemed like a very well loved individual. My wife and I will definately keep the Obrien family in our prayers. May the mighty power of our LORDs blessings be bestowed upon this wonderful fmaily.

I am very sorry to hear this. My buddy and I met him last march and he helped us all that he could. Seemed like a great guy and knew that lake. My prayers are with his family and friends.
