What a dandy of a day - NO bait shops in area had any minnows.......Heavy overcast,
threat of all day rain with no let up in sight.
Bara press 29.92 (only thing going right)heading up..Winds calm. By 9am wind was 8.1 mph out of south, light drizzle (and lake had a May-fly hatch going on)Yippee. Bite was a little slow to say the
least. By 10am, ran a couple gusts of wind, 16.1 & 27.6 mph wsw. Now all
around the area it was raining cats & dogs. (cow on flat rock thing) Isn't low
pressure a fun thing.

Several teams has called off event due to
weather conditionss around their area -
but eight (8) Died in wool competitiors
said bring it on.

One (1) position paid for "Big Fish"

1st: John Peyton / Mike Herbst

Two (2) position's paid for "7 fish catch weight"

1st: George Parker / Tim Eberly
6 lbs 7.7 oz

2nd: John Peyton / MIke Herbst
6 lbs 7.0 ozs

Parker team long-lined with Wally Marshall
16 - 14 & 8 ft rods, double jigged,
Running blue/black & june bug sliders
also AWD curley tails purple/w-clear tails & hot pink. speed 1.2 - 1.4 mph zig-zag
motion 8 - 9.5 fow.

Peyton team employed push pull method
with Wally Marshall rods, chart-black
sliders & orange head/buttercup bodies
sliders. - Blue/black comb. also worked
from time to time. 8.5 - 9.0 fow was
preferred depth, speed of .9 to 1.0
