    Default Vacuum Sealer


    Does anyone ever have problems with their vacuum sealed bags
    losing there seal in the freezer ? Have had several do this lately.

    I did til I started double sealing both ends...that fixed it

    I got a new machine, no problems. My old one would do that though.

    Another trick is to roll up s piece of paper towel and lay it just infront of where the seal will be. It will soak up the liquid and let the sealer make a good seal.

    I double seal also....juice will weaken the seal, I use a paper towel to dry before the final seal...never had a problem, sealer is 10 years old, and still works like new!

    Lightly freeze individual fillets on a cookie sheet then when stiff transfer to bags and freeze. Works great and don't have to worry about the moisture ruining the seal.

    Liquid is your enemy,drying should do the trick,but I am going to try light freezing my fillets the next go around.
