    Default Spider rigging pole Choice?

I am setting up my frontier yak for spider rigging,I will be running three poles for now.I currently have a ten foot, two piece slab daddy, and two thirteen foot,BnM extension poles. My conundrum is,should I go with rods and reels,or use extension poles with no reels? I also am not sure about pole length for each pole?should they be the same,or should any be longer for clearance ?

I use SouthernCrappie rods in 14. In a Yak think I would stay with 12 ft. Put small spinning reels or good bait caster on them.

I would not use the extension Poles, Too heavy, and the tips subject to breakage. Either 10 or 12 ft two piece graphite. I like spinning reels -- Balance is important, with the reel mounted on the Pole, balance where the handle meets the pole. a tip heavy pole will wear your arms out

In kayak, you will probably want to go shorter. If you ever break your line then have to restring it through the guides, long rods can be very difficult. I usually place the rod butt against the rear of the kayak while restringing and about 9-9.5' is as far as I can reach for the tip top.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

10' BnM Bucks Graphite Jig Pole. As mentioned, trying to handle anything longer in a yak will drive you further towards insanity.

I found two Mr crappie, slab daddy 10' two piece rods for a pretty reasonable price today.I hope to use them for spider rigging in my yak,but both are light action,so I'm not sure if they will fit the bill,if not,I have two more rods regardless.

I use 10, 12, and 14 ft slab shakers for trolling and pulling cranks, good poles.
