I use the floro marking paint that construction guys use to mark your yard for plumbing and such. Get at Home Depot or Lowes. Have found flat white under coat makes it cover better. Then a coat of clear makes it last longer.
Where can I get some Hi-Vis paint for rods tips ? Or tape ?

Thanks Shipmate , I was worried that the paint may harm the rod ? Brand new PST's

I wanted to paint the tips of my 14ft poles, so I had a small jar of Testers flouresent orange I had bought for the bead on a shotgun, it worked after a few coats but looks kinda clumpy. If I did it again I think I would try to find a flouresent tape vs. paint.
I tried tape and the line gets caught on it some times ... use paint and white base coat first

Won't hurt it a bit. Just use some fine sand paper and scuff off the shine where you want to paint. I just tear off small pieces of masking tape and mask the guides then about a ft long piece on the rod down from where I want paint to end. My PST's have been painted for about 4 years. My eyes see the floro green better than yellow or orange.
