    whoever wrote about the potatoflakes for crappie breading, thank you! I was running out of ritz cracker crumbs, and I remembered what i read here about using potato flakes so I mixed some in. WHATCHUTALKINABOUT!! DUCK,IMFIXINTOSLAPMYMAMMA!

    You're welcome. It has probably been mentioned by others too in the past, don't know. One of the VA members said he likes the onion & chive instant potato flakes. ???????? I didn't know there was such a critter but will have to get some & try.

    The #1 all time best breading tip I have ever got is a product called Panko-simply oriental bread crumbs. Available in Int'l food section of most large grocers and all Oriental food stores. CRISP CRISP CRISP. Make sure to dip fillets in flour first, then egg wash, then Panko. Give er a try & enjoy.

    horseshoer I bought some Panko crumbs this afternoon so I will give them a try this evening. Thanks for the suggestion.
