Default Jig pole or trolling pole for pulling small jigs?

I'm in the market for a 8' pole to troll 1/16 to 1/8 jigs. I currently have a 10' BnM Bucks Graphite Jig Pole that works so today I bought the same model but just the 8' length. Now that I have it home I can see it has a very fast action and worried it might be too flimsy?

I also notice it has a small first guide that doesn't look like it would work well with a spinning reel (the 10' one is the same way). Do other jig/trolling poles have the same small guide?

What is the difference between trolling poles and jig poles and would it matter for trolling these light jigs?

I use spinning reels on my 8 foot bgjp longling with no issues.
