Do many of you out there troll with driftmaster rod holders?
The holders on the right side of my boat are fine, but the holders on the left side swing around toward the back of the boat when trolling with a crank bait and of course when a fish strikes. The mounting base as well as the stem of the driftmaster rod holder on the left side should have had left handed thread, but they don't. Has anyone solved this problem?

Rees,
Thanks for the reply, and those look great, but I already have the driftmaster rod holders and just want to try and keep the rods on the left side from swinging back, so am looking for a way to retrofit what I have already--somehow to keep the rod holder from swinging back. (I only use one or two rods on each side of the boat trolling crank baits whether I am fishing by myself or with another fisherman).

had the same problem- remedy: order rod holders with LH thread- bought mine from Extreme Fishing Concepts- work well-simply mark them & you're good to go
I use to use regular nuts but I can see where flange nuts would work better. You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot.

I've run Driftmasters since 09 and it hasn't been a problem unless I get in a really bad hang up then it's a good then they will give some. I tighten the wing nut with pliers. Left hand holders would be better.

I used a bit of loctite and turned them down hard. Now even when a good bass hits it stays.
