    Default Shallow water question

When spider rigging in shallow water like 5-10 ft what's a good weight size to use? Like when the fish are in pre spawn and spawn thanks.

There's a lot of depending factors on that. I use heavier weights to keep my jigs straight down to compete with the wind on the lake I normally fish but if I'm not dealing with the wind I'll try to stick with weights 1/4 oz 5' and shallower and 1/2 oz 5-10 fow

If I'm in the 10 or less range I'll use the 1/2 or 3/8. But if I set out to fish in 6 or less I'll just drop back to a 1/8 oz jig only depending again on wind. If very windy probably not going that shallow rigging anyway.
