Crescent Lake
Public Ramp & park
Crescent City, Fl.
Dawn opened with 38 degree temp, 3-4 mph
winds out of NW, 34 teams (biggest entries
on tournament schedule ever) took to the
water to conquer the "Big Ones", Ole Mr.
Spec.
There would have been 37 teams, however,
we lost 3 teams for various situations:
Cole team lost lower unit Friday pre-fish,
TC Lloyd/Brown team spun prop shortly
after launch & Smith/White team's truck
broke down on way to tournament.
Barametric presssure with cold front
arriving during nite had gone crazy high
opening at 7a - 30:08 climbing to high
30:13 by 11:30a, before dropping off.
Fishing was tuff to say the least, many
various forms were employed with slow
"spider rigging" minnow tipped being the
best. Dead Lake was best found to find
fish - on bottom.
