    Post Quote for 10/6

"Strike indicators are helpful if too much depth isn't required. Anything over about three feet is awkward and unwieldy and casts often terminate with the indicator on target and the fly lying on top of the adjacent weeds. Also, strikes commonly occur before the slow sinking nymph has straightened out the leader and the fish may eject the fly with no movement of the indicator. These devices have a place in our arsenal but they are not a panacea. The angler will find that they are useful in some situations but a hindrance in others."

Rick is not gone for a few days as his quote for 10/6 shows from FAOL.

"Why do flish hit our flies, especially when they do not look like anything in nature?"

Question I was asked during a break yesterday at my CE meeting.

Have you ever tasted new food that you never had before? Never know what its like until you give it a try. Maybe that's why.

I thought you were gone again for a few days, Rick. Sorry, Rick, as I posted some quotes on the other board.
