Default 2014 HB units (2nd try)...

There's a little more information from the same reputable dealer about the 2014 HB units being released...

Here is the original release note...:

As per your guys request to keep you informed, we have new information about the new Humminbird lineup. To start, I would like to let you know that there are no new touch screens coming from Humminbird, or no plans that we were told about, we asked and were told no touch screens next year. With that said, there are going to be new 1100, 900, and 800 series units. All with faster processor speeds and new faceplates and buttons, and internal GPS. They are also discontinuing the 500 and 700 series and introducing the 600 series to take their place. They will also be releasing a KVD 1100 and 900 series units. These units will start to be available in November and slowly work their way into next year sometime. If you have any questions about these, please feel free to give us a call and we would be more than happy to answer any questions that you have.

There are pictures of the new units now..

Interesting that the "Info" button has been replace by a ✔ button...and the 1199 is now monikered "HD" and shows some type of "possible" speaker at the top right...and all 3 models are monikered with the "i"...meaning "Internal antenna"...

Remember...this info is from a dealer...not necessarily an "official HB release"...

I will post info as soon as I dig it up...

As the title of the thread implies this is Rickie's 2nd attempt to start a discussion about new Humminbird products. Lets keep it on topic and if you want to compare other manufacturer's products or discuss them, start a new thread and don't hijack this one. This could become a valuable source for HB's new products as information becomes available. Off topic posts will be deleted.

I'd say they hit a home run on this one. The changes they made are going to help customers catch more fish, there is no doubt. Good stuff Rickie.

The new one might be a 100 Watt speaker with Sub, we'll have to wait and see. Could be a usb connection to play your music from a USB stick???

It would be pretty cool to Hotwire the unit direct to a desktop USB port...

But then, HB would have to offer an AC adapter and I doubt that's ever going to happen...

I hear there's a lot a FCC regulations involved in that...
