Thumbs up another lake wash report

got to go out to the big lake for the evening after school (finally!). hooked into a couple smallies right away but they wern't to big. then i decided to try my luck at some perch fishing...... and caught about 25-30 in about 45 min. most were 9"-11" (released). then at the end of the day i got a pretty decent smallie (15") under the bridge near the boat launch. caught all my smallies on a drop shoted 3" senko.

changed up the hat because of huskie football :D

here is a few pics. not to big but they fight all the same....

Nice. Those 3-4 year old fish are thick this year. I haven't hooked anything over 3lbs since July :D. Are you going to head out there again next weekend?

Hate to admit it but I went slimer fishing on the Green this Sunday. Went 2 for 3 on the silvers. Kept one adult that went 12lbs. Caught and released a nice native steelhead as well. Caught them all on homemade jigs.

Nice fish as always CK. I perch fished again on Saturday and we did pretty well. Anyone heard if the crappies are biting on Silver Lake yet?

they should be but I would give it a couple weeks for the cooler temps to set in, then the bite should be hot!

I'm going to give it a shot this Sat night in the north end of Union and maybe Husky Bay if there's enough time. It's still a little early but what the heck. Oct 20th - Dec12th or so are the golden dates most years.

I'd like to know more about Silver too - I'm going there on Saturday for the nwbasser fish-in and might want to check out some crappie while I'm on a boat.
