Default My Crappie Alabama Rig (Made Mistake on Weight, Corrected Now)

Now this ins something I got last year and so wanted to try it this spring, but since our Hydrilla has not come back enough I had to troll in stump infested places so didn't try it. I hope this next fall or spring the hydrilla will come back enough for me to use it as I don't think this would be easy to use where I was fishing this last spring. I do not have many of these as I just bought 5 of them for myself and then tied these my version of gnats. The Alabama rig it self is only 11 grams and the jigs/gnats are without lead weight so the entire thing is not heavy at all. I am posting this because of the other thread that was asking about if anyone was using one. So not for selling at all and only for the idea.

I am sorry I didn't give the right weight on these and my brain just remembered what the ones I sold weighed as they were larger over all, but still had a plastic head and they weighed 11 grams, but this one actually weighs about 3.5 grams, much less.

I would enjoy hearing some thoughts about this rig though.

I bought a few like these and I've caught the big goose egg so far. Only fished them a few times so I'll be trying them more. Might have already caught the only thing they were designed to catch. (ME!!!!)

I believe they will work trolling over hydrilla long lining. Can't prove it yet, but we shall see when I get the chance to try it. I still came out really well with theses as I bought 5 of them and can't say what, but I traded one of them for a real deal that paid me back many times over so they are now all free and a nice tidy sum over. That all by it self made my buy a wonderful investment even if they as you say don't catch anything.

Interesting but too much hardware on it for me for crappie fishing. I just use a double rig setup to present two differing baits or colors at different depths Skip.

Killer rig but they work better with inline spinners in front of each jig saw it on a video

Thanks guys, feelay I know they are protective of what they have in the lakes you guys have, but bet they would do really well.

Think I may have another good place to try it, someone gave me the idea of using it around bridge pilling and there are some less than 1 mile from me.

I picked up the one in the picture and it's feather light. Beautiful work though. I won't use one though. I don't want to lose 5 jigs at a time. 1 or 2 is enough.
