Default Went trolling for Crappie today

Me and my dad went out trolling for some crappie this morning before the heat ran us off the lake. We picked up a baby white crappie and we picked up a catfish. Which is amazingly, what we usually catch when trolling for Specks in this lake. It is the 4th different kind of catfish we've come across and this last one has us stumped. The colors on it were crazy. It looked as if a trout and a catfish mated. Anyone ever come across this particular cat?Name: 100_1261[1].jpg

Thats a channel cat. Channel cat's will have different coloring depending on the waterthey are native to. The spots are found on younger fish.

Thanks for the info fellows. So far we've caught almost a solid brown color cat with dots, a few solid grays and one that was so gray it was practically black. They've ranged between 17.5 inches to about 23 inches long.
