A buddy is trying to put new seats on a 1989 sea nymph, but the standard pedestal seats wont fit the base thats on the deck. The shaft and pin are a different size/set up. Any suggestions?

He is wanting to get rid of the 'chair' style seats with the short shaft down to the deck and put the higher/ adjustable post with the butt seat on. I'll try and figure the picture posting out.

or something like that ?? If so, he's going to have to change the floor plate, to accomodate the new pedestal.
Most pedestal poles have a 3/4" insert pin, that fits into the floor base. If he has that type of base, and the insert pin still won't fit .... he's probably going to have to get a compatable floor base.
In either case ... it looks like a new floor base is going to have to be purchsed and installed. .......... cp
