Hey, save some for the rest of us.
Talked with a buddy of mine this morning. And him and his wife have been wearing the crappie out the last 6 days on Pickwick. All of them have been around boat docks and until this morning they were in 3 ft of water. This morning they caught 52 and they were in 9 ft of water. So off I go in the Am to see how my luck works out. :D
They catch them like this all winter long. And fish from the bank and the docks. Also the 52 this morning was caught in 2 1/2 hours. Then he still made it to work by 8 am. Biggest was 2 1/2 lbs.

How'd you do Red?
"To catch fish, you gotta be on the fish!"
Sorry i posted it on the main board.
one crappie a drum a skipjack and 4 bream
So it was one of those days.
But all in all. I was happy, Out on the water. was 24 degrees when i put the boat in. Caught a crappie on my new rod and reel and using my spider rig rod holders. So it was not a loss.

Picked up 2 of the Sam Heaton Super Sensitive IM-6 10 ft Jig poles. Wal-mart has them on sale. So I picked up 2 of them. And think I will buy my wife 2 more for Christmas that way I will have 4 of them to use..LOL

Good Luck!! Hope you don't end up getting them used on you. What kind of reel are you using on them? I put an underspin on mine. I figure if I am jigging with it I only need something to hold line with and not to cast with like spinning reel or something.
If in doubt, cross their eyes!!
I picked up 2 Shakespeare Microspin Spinning Reels. I got the microspin combo reel and rod cheaper then I could buy a reel.
This little reel is smooth for a $16. reel. And have the rods for the grand kids.
Your telling me that Wal-china-Mart has Sam Heaton poles?
