went out to lake washington this evening and the smallies were hitting real good. got 5 (me 3, dad 2) over 2lbs with a big fish at 3.5lbs. got them off docks and around newport shores. got some little ones and perch too. even hooked into a good one at the boat launch but it got off.

man that looks fun, nice fish! haven't been fishing in 12 days i think it is now. working full time is a pain. I also need to get my truck set up with a hitch so i can get back out on the water on the weekends.

    Default lake washington perch...... HOT!!!

went to the big lake again this afternoon to do a little bass fishing. i didn't get any bass but my dad got 2 smallies (1.5lbs and 1lb) and 1 largie at 2lbs. we noticed a huge school of perch on the depth finder while we were moving around so we stoped and fished it. we got about 30 in a couple hours and a lot of them were over 9". we only kept 10 with a big fish at 12" and the others at about 10". can you say yumy :D :p

i've heard it's not to bad in lake washington, it's lake union thats the bad lake. there is a lot more buildings around union that pump waste into it then washington.

Yea i am pretty sure that the fish out of washington are ok. If there is any problem with them at all it would be with small children or pregnant women from what i have heard. That 12 incher is a fatty, those things really are good for fish and chips.

they were in about 20' of water next to a weedline drop off. it went from about 15' (with weeds) to 20' (without weeds) really quick. they were right on the ledge. went out again this morning and got 43 more perch and a couple of 12"-14" smallies.you could see some big smallies chasing after minnows in about 5'-10' of water. couldn't get them to hit though. most perch were 7" with a few going 9"-12". all were released.
