    Default cedar river

ive been hearing rumors about the cedar being opened this year for fishing. Does anyone know information about this fishery, when does it open and what are the regulations? Also, is it possible (or allowed) to take your boat into the cedar from lake washington. When i checked out the mouth earlier this year it seemed too shallow to drive a boat and there was a lot of wood and debris in the water. i cant wait to try this fishery

you can't take your boat up the cedar, i am pretty sure. lots of people do troll the mouth of it though where it comes into lk washington. it opens june first and is selective gear (single barbless hook no bait). most flyfish some throw spinners and spoons. as for flies the best bet would be baitfish and minnow immitations, some people will throw dries or nymphs but i would go with the streamers
