    Default More Trout and Stripers

Bennett (Percidae_Papermouth) and I fished for stripers and trout on Friday night near the mouth of the Elizabeth River. We fished for about four and a quarter hours and caught several trout and stripers up to about 23". It was a great night. Bennett is a fine person, and a great angler. It was a pleasure to fish with him.

Of course Bennett threw a whup'n on me (from the back seat of my own boat!) and caught two fish to my one. I missed a bunch just so he could get them. That's my story alright, and I'm sticking with it!

Most fish were caught on a Chicken-on-the-Chain colored Salt-Water Assassin.

I know it's not crappie, but please forgive me....amen.

Bennett, let me know when you want to stray down the crooked path again!

    Good fish'n everyone!

Did you eat any of those trout yet? And how did you like them?

Trout are okay, and tuna and flounder are good. But nothing is like a crappie--yum, yum!

Striper is the best fishto eat IMHO. Trout are good too. I'll take a saltwater rock over a crappie anyday.
