Default I lost my weekend, my friend lost his life

I left work a little early Friday afternoon, hoping to get to Hyco lake well before dark. My biggest concern was finding some crappie quickly. I had several new packs of BG baby shad.

Arriving home from work, we got the call....one of those that take your legs from you. My dear friend had crashed his plane into a mountain near Pueblo, Colorado. The wreakage was spotted, and the Search and Rescue Team were on their way. They arrived at the site at dusk. We were with the family friday night when the confirming call came from the coroner. They found two bodies, and a badly charred plane.

My dear friend gone forever. He now belongs to the ages. After a long sleepless Friday night, I thought how trivial my fishing trip was. How can I ever look at his wife again and offer support when I am sobbing inside.

The world keeps turning...it always does. Time heals, as does God. Memories, I now have only memories. Thank God for those.

    Chris

that's a tough deal dealt. We never know what is just around the corner for us, just remember his friends and family are the ones who are suffering and he is in a much better place.
