If this is for another article, you can find loads of info here. Just do a search for "hi vis".

The only time I use it is when single pole vertical jigging. In my opinion it is a must. I have tried and tried over the years to use clear line while vertical jigging, especially in clear water situations. I always figured it would help my strike ratio. Wrong. Each time i tried it, within an hour i was stripping it off and reapplying Stren 8lbs Hi Vis. I just cant see the line twitch or the bites when they hit it from the bottom and the line goes slack. You just cant see it without Hi Vis, I dont care how good your eyes are. Never use it for casting or cork fishing or trolling, or spider rigging tho. Just vertical jigging which is what I do 99% of the time anyway. Hope this helps ya.

BTW, small roll of stren hi vis, $5 or so.

I use nothing but Hi-viz, its easier to see ALL the time, I longline, shoot docks, pull cranks and learning/trying other methods as the opportunity arises. 4# for dock shooting, 6# for longlining and 10# for pulling cranks. It's just easier to see and have not noticed a decrease in hits/hook ups since using it.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

    1) 100% of the time.
    2) IMO longlining.
    3) $7.50 for a 1/4 lb bulk spool.
    4) So I can "see" it.
    5) As sensitive as clear line IMO.
    6) All the time for me.
    7) Viscious and Mr. Crappie.
    8) Cant say for everybody else, but for me every since I started longlining...probably 3 or 4 years ago.
